Echoes of the Earth

What would it feel like to travel through the life of the Earth, and discover that the story can change because of you?

 

Echoes of the Earth is an immersive live performance told through music, projection, light and audience interaction. Guzheng meets double bass, piano and percussion in music QiQi composed especially for the show, as the story moves from the first people on the land through flourishing landscapes, human invention and the pressures of the present day. Music and images transform together, drawing audiences into each new world. It's a show for everyone, young and old, with no language barriers.

 

Along the way, the audience has the opportunity to shape what happens next through collective choices, with the musicians responding to carry the performance down the chosen path.

There is room for wonder, reflection, imagination and hope. At a time when the future of the natural world can feel overwhelming, Echoes of the Earth is a chance to reconnect with the Earth and to feel what choices made together can change, in the room and beyond it.

First presented at the Bowery Theatre, Echoes of the Earth is now being adapted for theatres, galleries, museums, festivals and other spaces, with flexible length and staging. Sustainability is part of how we make and tour the show: we reuse and adapt costumes and materials, design flexible staging, and work with local artists and suppliers where possible.
